our flat.

So here are finally some photos of our place. Here's the street:

And from the other side:

If you turn to the right down this street, you get to Hammersmith Road which is one of the main roads in the area. It leads to the tube station, a bus station, two shopping centers, a lot of pubs and restaurants, etc.

Here's our front door (the stained glass says "Wolverton House" which I think is pretty cool):

And here's our window from the outside (it's the bottom floor on the left):

Now onto our room. Keep in mind that this was before we got all our stuff put away. Now we have some nice storage containers and our suitcases are empty, but in the pictures it looks a bit messy.

We are also getting another single bed, which will go along the far wall by the closet. Oh, and we have a new pet, purchased at Borough Market:

Here's the kitchen:

And our back patio area:

That's about it for now. I'm still busy on the job hunt and trying to figure out all the exciting things that we should do. Maisie is off to play in Prague this week. Visit her blog, too... www.londonmaisie.blogspot.com.

bye :)

Hello there. I'm not really sure what to write here, except that Maisie and I are having a great time so far. After a long search that took us all around London, we finally found a cute place with fun flatmates in a great location. Anyway, I took some pictures to show you and that's really why I made this. So here they are:

This is Alex's (Maisie's cousin's boyfriend's) house. He was grand enough to let us crash in his living room for a week, and also to show us around the city. He lives in Bayswater which is near Notting Hill. Here are some more pictures of that street:

These were taken during the great room search of 2008:

Maisie on Tower Bridge and the tube. Here's another of the bridge:

In the next post, I'll put up photos of our new home and surroundings.

love, jackie
